Following the recent action of the NBTE on the Abia State Polytechnic, and the response of the Government of Abia State.

The leadership of the National Association of Abia State Students NAASS worldwide, thereby commend Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Ph.D for his swift response on top of the matter stating that the decision of NBTE against the institution was very embarrassing and capable of destabilizing the current peace and harmony existing in the state, as the fate of the students of the institution appears to be jeopardized by the said action. We specially thank the governor for giving the Student leaders a listening ear yesterday.

Setting up a 6 man Committee task force to see to the restoration of the lost accreditation of the state polytechnic, within 30 days, is a welcome development.

The leadership of NAASS also charges all the members of the Committee to be steadfast and to discharge their duties to make sure the polytechnic regains all accreditation. Noting that the SUG President of Abia State Polytechnic as part of the process is highly commendable as he best understands the plight of the Students.

The leadership of NAASS will always be ready to serve and stand by the students of Abia State and as well give our governor all the necessary supports needed in making sure that things are in the right direction.
